Two villages with the same fare: Garganta and El Cuadrón
Garganta de los Montes
The village is on the Lozoya valley road, between the upper valley villages and the motorway. The streets in the centre are quiet but some are narrow for manoeuvring with suitcases: if that is your case, let us know and we will meet at the most convenient spot.
El Cuadrón
El Cuadrón, the municipality's other village, sits practically next to the A-1. When you book, write “El Cuadrón” explicitly in the address so the driver goes straight there and not to the centre of Garganta. The fare is the same in both villages.
Because of its position between the valley and the motorway, the municipality has a direct way out to the A-1, the natural route to Madrid and Barajas. The exact route is up to the driver and does not affect the price.

Before booking from the mountains: useful tips
- Book ahead. The taxi comes from Madrid, so it is best to book as soon as you know your flight date; for early-morning departures, the day before at the latest. With less than two hours' notice, phone us.
- Work your departure time backwards. Start from your flight time, subtract 2 hours for a European flight or 3 for an international one, and add the journey with some margin. Here we explain when to get to the airport.
- Children and luggage. If you are travelling with children, ask for a child seat stating their age; if there are five or more of you, or lots of luggage, choose the 7-seater taxi.

Arriving at Barajas and getting back to Garganta de los Montes
For the return, book with your flight number. That way we check the terminal and confirm the meeting point; if your flight is early, late or changes, let us know by phone or WhatsApp. The return costs the same as the outward journey.
