Malasaña: narrow streets and doorways that take some finding

Malasaña covers a large part of the Universidad neighbourhood, north of Gran Vía and west of Calle Fuencarral. Its streets are narrow, one-way and have little room to stop: Espíritu Santo, San Andrés, Calle del Pez, La Palma, San Vicente Ferrer or Velarde, around Plaza del Dos de Mayo. To the west, the area around Conde Duque and Noviciado is somewhat quieter; to the east, the Tribunal area and Plaza de San Ildefonso fill with people at almost any hour.

To make the pickup quick, enter the exact address with the building number when you book. If you are in a holiday apartment, add any reference that will help the driver. And if you prefer to wait on a wider street, such as San Bernardo or Glorieta de Bilbao, tell us and the pickup will take place there.

How to book your taxi from Malasaña

Enter them in the booking form. If there is any difficulty getting to your door, mention it in the comments.

  2. 2

    Pickup time

Aim to be at the terminal 2 hours before for European flights and 3 for international ones.

What you pay for the taxi from Malasaña to Barajas

Malasaña is inside the M-30, so the fixed inside-the-M-30 fare applies: €33 to any terminal, there and back. It is a fixed price, with no meter, that you know before you book. If you pay online, you do so by card through the secure Redsys gateway; you can also pay the driver.

Many of the cheapest flights leave at unsociable hours; on our blog we explain why early-morning flights tend to be cheaper. If you choose one, a five o'clock pickup at your door is no problem at all.

Back from the airport to Malasaña

When you come back from a trip, book the pickup at the terminal with your flight number. We check the terminal, confirm where the driver will be waiting and they drop you at your door. If your flight time changes, let us know on WhatsApp or call 911 76 00 81.

If you are on the other side of Fuencarral or Carranza

Cross Fuencarral and you are in Chueca; north of Carranza lies Chamberí; to the south, Gran Vía, and beyond Conde Duque, across Calle Princesa, Argüelles and the Moncloa district. We work the same way in all of them.
