From the AVE to the plane without hunting for a taxi with your suitcases
Atocha is one of Madrid's major high-speed and long-distance stations, and many of its passengers do not stay in the city: they get off the train and carry on to Barajas to catch a flight. If that is you, the last thing you want is to cross the station with your luggage, look for the rank and wait your turn while check-in time gets closer.
With a pre-booked taxi, the journey is sorted before you even board the train. When you book, write in the comments that you are arriving by train, the expected time and, if you know it, the train number. If the train is delayed, let us know by phone or on WhatsApp and we will rearrange the pickup. When choosing the time, bear in mind that you should be at the airport about 2 hours early for European flights and 3 for international ones.

Not just the station: we pick up all around Atocha
We also collect from hotels, apartments and homes in the area: Ronda de Atocha, Paseo de la Infanta Isabel, calle Atocha, Paseo del Prado or around the Museo Reina Sofía and the Real Jardín Botánico. It is common among tourists who have spent their last day at the museums and set off for the airport from their accommodation.
If you are staying on the other side of the park, in the Retiro area, or towards Delicias and Legazpi, in the Arganzuela district, booking works in exactly the same way.

How much a taxi from Atocha to Barajas costs
Atocha is inside the M-30, so the journey has the fixed fare for inside the M-30, €33 to any terminal. There is no meter: the amount does not go up if there are hold-ups on the M-30 or the A-2, and it is the same if you make the trip the other way, from Barajas to Atocha.
- What is included: the door-to-door transfer in an official taxi licensed by Madrid City Council, with your luggage.
- How to pay: online by card when you book, through the secure Redsys gateway, or to the driver by card or in cash.
- Groups: if there are five or more of you, or you have large suitcases and pushchairs, book a taxi with up to 7 seats and you all travel in the same car.

From Barajas to Atocha to catch your train
The reverse journey is just as common: you land and have to catch an AVE at Atocha. Book a pickup at the arrivals terminal with your flight number; with it we check the terminal and confirm the meeting point. If your flight is early or delayed, message or call us to adjust the time.
A practical tip: leave plenty of time between landing and your train's departure. You need to allow for disembarking, collecting your luggage and the platform access check at the station.
