How much a taxi from the airport to Madrid city centre costs
It is the question we are asked most by people arriving in Madrid. The short answer: €33, a fixed price. The Centro district is inside the M-30, and everywhere inside that ring road has the same Inside M-30 fare, with no meter and no surcharges for traffic jams. It makes no difference whether you are going to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor or Lavapiés, or whether it is T1 or T4: the amount does not change.

Pickup in the centre: pedestrian streets and hotels
Much of the historic centre is pedestrianised or has restricted access, and many streets are too narrow for a car to stop. That is why, when you book, you should give us the address or the name of your hotel. If the taxi can reach the door, it will wait for you there; if not, we will confirm a nearby point open to traffic so you know exactly where to go with your suitcases.
To work out the time, plan to be at the airport 2 hours before European flights and 3 before international ones, plus time to check out if you are leaving a hotel.

From the airport to the centre: we wait for you at the terminal
If you have just arrived in Madrid, book your airport pickup with your flight number. With it we check the arrival terminal and confirm the meeting point; if your flight is early or delayed, let us know by phone or WhatsApp. The driver takes you to your accommodation in the centre for the same €33.
Having your taxi booked has a clear advantage when you arrive tired or with children: you know who is picking you up and how much you will pay before you get in, without queuing at the taxi rank. If there are five or more of you, ask for a vehicle with up to 7 seats; if you need a child seat, request one and give the child's age.
