Inside M-30 fare: taxi to Madrid-Barajas Airport for €33 from within the M-30

For airport transfers we do not use the meter, but a fare by area. If your pickup point or destination is inside the M-30, the amount is always the same, and that has practical consequences:

• Traffic does not count. A hold-up on the Castellana, on the M-30 itself or on the approach to the terminals does not change what you pay.
• Nor does the route. The driver chooses the route according to the time and traffic; the price does not depend on how many kilometres they end up driving.
• Nor the time. A first-thing morning flight, a midnight arrival or a Sunday in August all have the same fare.
• Nor the terminal. T1 and T4 are at opposite ends of the airport, but the amount is identical.

The number of passengers and the vehicle are given when you book, and the booking form shows the total amount before you confirm. The full list of areas, including those for the outer neighbourhoods and the towns, is in our airport taxi fares by area.

The M-30 is Madrid's innermost ring road. On the west it runs alongside the Manzanares, by Madrid Río, and on the north, east and south it encircles the central districts. Everything inside that ring has the Inside M-30 fare: the historic centre, the Castellana axis, the residential neighbourhoods of the nineteenth-century extension (the Ensanche) and the Atocha and Chamartín stations. Centre

• Sol, Ópera and the historic centre: taxi from central Madrid, with its pedestrian streets and hotels.
• Gran Vía and the Callao area, with lots of hotels and holiday apartments.
• The neighbourhoods of Chueca, Malasaña, La Latina and Embajadores and Lavapiés.

The Ensanche and the Castellana axis

• Chamberí, from Almagro to Ríos Rosas.
• The Salamanca district and, next to the M-30, Fuente del Berro.
• The Chamartín district, with its railway station, Plaza de Castilla and its transport hub, and Tetuán.

Retiro, Arganzuela and Moncloa

• The Retiro district, around the park, and Atocha station.
• Arganzuela, between Atocha, Delicias, Legazpi and Madrid Río.
• Moncloa and Argüelles, the part of the Moncloa-Aravaca district that lies inside the M-30.

Almost all of Madrid's hotels, a large share of its offices and both of its main railway stations are inside the M-30, so journeys on this fare are very varied:

• Tourists leaving their hotel or apartment with their bags packed who want to know the price before they go down to the street.
• Business travellers with meetings on the Castellana, at Nuevos Ministerios or in the Salamanca district, who go from office to flight on the same day.
• People arriving by train at Atocha or Chamartín who carry on to the airport without taking the metro with their suitcases.
• Residents of Chamberí, Retiro or Arganzuela flying off on holiday who would rather have the car waiting at their front door.

If there are five or more of you, or you have large suitcases, pushchairs or sports equipment, ask for the taxi with up to 7 seats when you book. And if you are travelling with children, request a child seat stating their age: we will confirm availability.

The fare works the same way in reverse. For the return, book an airport pickup and give your flight number: with it we check your arrival terminal and confirm the meeting point. If your flight time changes, let us know by phone or WhatsApp. The driver drops you at the door of your hotel or home and you pay the same fixed amount as on the way there.

For the outward journey, work out your pickup time so that you are at the airport 2 hours before for European flights and 3 for international ones. With less than 2 hours' notice, it is best to call us directly.
