Miraflores, a summer retreat with year-round residents
Miraflores de la Sierra has a long tradition as a summer retreat for people from Madrid, and today it combines residents who live here all year with many weekend homes. It sits on the southern slope of the mountains, on the road to the Morcuera and Canencia passes, surrounded by meadows and woods that draw hikers and cyclists.
There is more than one way down to the airport: through Soto del Real and Colmenar Viejo to the M-607, or through Guadalix to pick up the A-1. The driver chooses according to the time and the state of the road; nothing changes for you, because the price is already fixed.
