7-seater taxi to the airport: when you need one and what it includes

You need a 7-seater taxi to the airport when five or more of you are travelling, or when there are fewer of you but the luggage will not fit in a standard taxi: several large suitcases, pushchairs, child seats, boards, golf clubs or bikes. With four passengers or fewer and one suitcase each, a standard taxi is usually enough. If in doubt, say how many of you there are and what you are carrying when you book, and we will recommend the vehicle.

Many people think only about the number of seats and forget the boot. A standard taxi has four passenger seats and a boot designed for normal luggage. As soon as large suitcases or bulky items are added, the space runs out before the seats do. This table is a handy guide:

Families

Skiers, golfers, cyclists, musicians with large instruments or students moving for a whole academic year. Here the problem is not the seats but the volume. • A child seat on request, giving the child's age.
